If you’re railroad magnate Henry Bradley Plant, in the midst of the sand swamps that would be Tampa, you construct the most astonishingly magnificent hotel of its day, then fill it with treasures from around the world. The History Center tells the story of Tampa Bay’s and Florida’s history, heritage and culture.

The Florida Aquarium enables visitors to get close to many of Florida’s aquatic and terrestrial animals and ecosystems, as well as from around the world. As Florida’s largest aquarium, it’s more than a must-see attraction! The Florida Aquarium is working to protect and restore our blue planet on many conservation fronts, including research and rescue efforts that help restore Florida’s sea turtle and coral populations and to ensure that sharks continue to swim our seas.
